Sport Dog Seminar 2022
Thank you all for coming, we can’t wait to see you! Here’s a bit on how your experience will go..
Hey fam, we’ve got almost 40 people on site for this event so we need you first and foremost to pay attention! Please read this page entirely. I know it’s a lot, but I need you to all be on the same page to keep things running smoothly and organized.
We have everybody from beginners, intermediate to dog sport pros attending. We will not tolerate any slander or negative talk about other people in sports, dog training or other dog sports in general.
This event is meant to be a collective of positive running minds who are looking to either advance their skills and support others, or those who are newer and searching for a community and network within the dog world.
If you are uncomfortable, by the end of this event you will learn to be comfortable with being uncomfortable.
Intermediate teams, please lend a hand to new teams. We will have as much spare equipment on site, but may not have everything for every team to borrow. If you can, bring extra supplies to help build each other in sports.
We have a ZERO TOLERANCE for pressuring, staring at for a reaction, pet without asking, taunting or otherwise messing with anybody else’s dog on site - on the field or dogs in their vehicles.
Your peers have all paid equally to work through reactivity, or to strengthen their skills in sport/work with their dogs respectfully the same as you. Anybody who is found to be doing this will be asked to leave and not welcome back the next day (no refunds) or for any future events hosted by or in partner with Revive Canine Training. Don’t fuck with other people’s dogs, it’s not cool.
Questions are welcome throughout training, however please remain respectful. We are all here to learn and will not welcome any arguments with the head trainer, Michael Nezbeth. You are welcome to discuss your question, please leave your harsh objections and ego off the field.
Location, Time Directions and Parking
The event will be held at 10060 Noble Canyon Rd, Lumby B.C V0E 2G5. Google Maps sometimes will send you past the property once you’re on Noble Canyon Road.. please load Google Maps before leaving your location to get here on time.
Coming from Vernon side - you will see a Harries Construction sign on your left. Put your signal, slam on your brakes and turn at the street that you’re probably going to blow past.
Coming from the Lumby side - you’ll see a Zelany Farm side on the right. Same thing, turn your signal on and hit your brakes before you miss the street!
Once you’re on Noble Canyon Road, a few houses up (I think it’s about 3?) you’ll see the NCK9 Training Facility sign on the black chainlink fence, turn left there if you have a working spot. If you’re auditing please park along the fenceline.
Our start time is 9:00am. Please do NOT arrive before 8:45am at the earliest. If you are going to be late, please contact Kaity at 778-899-9679. Our goal is to start at 9:15am sharp, make sure you' plan your route accordingly with extra time.
If you are AUDITING: Please park on the street along the fenceline. Walk up the driveway, to your right you will be a white detached building from the main house. This is Noble Canyon K9.
If you are WORKING: There is no parking in front of the main house. We will direct you for parking, one at a time to a designated space to your right up the driveway. If you have a dog who barks in the car, we ask that you either cover their kennel or use an e-collar. If barking persists, we may ask that you park on the main road. Loose dogs in cars are not permitted - all working dogs must be contained in a car kennel. No exceptions.
Upon Arrival..
We will have coffee, bottled water and baked goods inside of the Noble Canyon K9 Facility. Please check in! You will see a human at the front table checking people in.
No late entries or friends/spouses on site unless they have been signed up prior. No children are allowed on site, sorry.
What should I bring?
